In my blood

I have a secret. I like politics...so much that I have enjoyed watching the Republican and (and even) Democratic National Conventions. As a high school student I was involved with the Young Republicans and helped campaign for George H.W. Bush when he ran for President in 1992. Of course I don't like everything that goes on in politics, but I do have my favorite politicians, pundits and news channels. You would think this is a dirty, rotten hobby of mine...the way I quickly flip the channel when Kyle walks into the room. He doesn't enjoy it the way I do, but Sarah Palin just might change all that.
I figure it is because it runs in my blood. My mom attended the 1972 Republican National Convention as a delegate. How cool is that??? You are the bomb, Mom! Thanks for teaching me to love my country...and even politics!!

I've always loved politics and U.S. History too. I always thought I would run for some government office, but now I can't stand all the dirty parts of it and I shy away. That's awesome!

I watched parts of the Conventions too. It was all very interesting! I think that Sarah Palin could change the way lots of people look at politicians!

I never watch news, or anything that has to do with it, but you'll be proud. All day sunday while lying in bed I watched C-Span and it caught me up on the Republican National Convention. I really like Sarah Palin and am so excited to vote this year. I might even watch a little more news following the election.
