How fun is this? I spotted this on my friend Karyn's blog...it is a website that pulls commonly used words from your blog to make a collage. Right up my alley!

Tastebook

Yesterday I happened upon this fabulous website. I love cookbooks...it is something I get from my mother. We buy each other cookbooks for every holiday. In fact, someday I am going to inherit a whole load of them! I have been working on compiling my favorite recipes for some time now and I think this is the perfect way to put them together. Oh...and the gifting possibilities... I am so excited to play with this. Of course, I had to share.

Soy Vay & Paris

I have been SO excited about a teriyaki sauce that my sis-in-law Brittany introduced me to. She bought it at Costco months ago and I have been on the hunt to find it again. I checked Costco everytime I would go there...and nothing. I finally found it at Macey's and Walmart and of course, the price is much better at Walmart. Yesterday I was at Costco and they had it again. Not a huge savings over the Walmart price, but I had to buy some for my shelf.

We had a fun dinner party with our friends, the Giles, earlier this week. I had to share this fun recipe with them. It was so fun to get together and chat and plan our dream trip to Paris. Greg served his mission there and Melissa hasn't had the chance to get there yet. So, of course, I invited me & Ky to go along with them. They even went home with a travel book and Rick Steves' DVD. I'm keepin' my fingers crossed.

Thanks Giles, for being such a great friends.

...and for bringing that fabulous fruit tart!

pingg

The other day I found this free online invitation service. Since I liked the look of their stuff I decided to make an invitation to a pretend Cinco de Mayo party...The invite turned out so cute...it is just sad I am the only one that got it...You will have to check them out here. They send out invites through email and even follow up with reminders as your event gets closer and they can manage your RSVP's too. Pretty spiffy!

Newest obsession

I have this thing* about putting nails in my walls. I am very selective about it. I guess that is why we have lived here for 5 years, but it looks like we just moved in. Last week I discovered the joy of using Command Picture Hanging strips. I have since hung 17 different things on my walls using them.

*this thing, I am sure, is my parents fault (but I love you anyway)

sweet love

If ever I am craving a sweet treat (which does happen often...) I beg Kyle to take me to Smart Cookie. They make lots of different cookies, but these are my favorite. Today they happened to be a gift, I think they might taste even better. Four cookies all to myself...I promise to eat them with skim milk if that helps.
