Today is the day we say goodbye to binkie. Oh, sad day. I had to do it today so I can truthfully report to the doctor later this week that Kendall is off her binkie. Doesn't it stink to turn 18 months old? At first Kendall thought it was funny, then, as you can see in the photos, her look turns to confusion, then sadness. Today when I put her down for her nap I watched as she put one binkie in her mouth and clutched the other two, one in each hand & snuggled down into her blankie. It almost broke my heart to think that would be the last time I would see her do that. Maybe she will still want to hold them in her bed. I hope so. It so fun to watch you grow up little bunny. I love you.

I was so scared to wean Kate. It was hard for about two days, then she completely forgot about them. Hope it goes that well for you.

18 months already!? Hooray for nursery! I hope binkie-weaning goes smoothly... stay strong.
Oh that's such a sad day! I tried cutting the binky like that but brianna sucked on it anyway! even when it got down to nothing she still wanted it. So we just did it cold turkey. We only had one night of a little crying but she managed just fine! Good luck!!

I need to do the same thing with Molly's bottle. She hasn't had a binkie forever (not on purpose, she just never liked it enought) but the ba-ba is her best friend!
hmmmmm...i wish I could say i've done this with Desi.....yea not so much! But we're working on it!
That is the hardest thing to do. I think they look soooo cute with a binkie in their mouth. Maybe it just makes me feel like they aren't growing up so dang fast. Good luck!!!
