Whole wheat.

A year ago I never, EVER, would have guessed this, but this grain mill has been at the top of my list for a while...Friday my DH (dear husband) surprised me with it. We spent Saturday morning grinding wheat and making whole wheat bread and cookies! Whole-wheat cookies??? I know...but trust me...they are divine! I will post the recipe soon!

No, this isn't me, but very easily could be... Here's to a great weekend ahead!

...don't let this freak you out, I am fine, I have just had a crazy week...too much stress for my bones...and last night was the cherry on top. I slipped on some ice and hit my head on an iron rail. I came away with an inch & a half long gash and a sore backside, but really I am feeling lucky I didn't smack my head on the cement. According to my self-diagnosis I did online I should be fine in no time ;)

Sweet surprises!

Within a 5 minute time period two wonderful surprises arrived on my door step...just what I needed on a day like today!! The MomAgenda planner is 40% off here. (Thanks for the heads up Rose & Melissa...I am loving it already!)
Then my friend Laura showed up with a tasty treat from one of my favorite local bakeries...Dippidee! I swear, the diet starts tomorrow. Thanks Laura!

Nielsen girls weekend

I spent last night at the Grand America in SLC with my mom & sisters. Of course we had a fabulous time! This was my 2007 Christmas gift from Kyle (what a guy!) and we just got around to using it! We met at California Pizza Kitchen for dinner and boy was it tasty! Then we walked through a few shops at Gateway...Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory, Sur la Table and Barnes & Noble (which I forget is a FABULOUS store without children ;)

This morning my mom treated us to the breakfast buffet at Little America across the street...what a treat! At 11:00 we had pedicure appointments at the Grand Spa..also courtesy of Kyle (love him). Then we finished with a trip to Trolley Square.

We had such a great time spending time together...I think we will make it an annual tradition...also courtesy of KYLE??? What do you say hun?

At the hospital

A few days ago I spent some time with Shane, Kristy & Gracie at the hospital. Now they are all home, doing well & adjusting to the new normal. It sounds like Emma is adjusting great as well.
