let's make a deal!

Okay friends, I was surprised to hear that some of you haven't heard of City Deals! I watch their weekly emails for deals at restaurant we like to go to. Today I just bought some Magleby's gift certificates 50% off. You can't beat a deal like that! HERE is a link so you can check it out yourselves. If you buy off this link (and it is your household's first purchase on their website) I even get a credit...but no pressure here people. ;) They frequently offer some of our favorites...Smart Cookie, Blue Lemon, Dairy Queen, Baskin Robbins and Magleby's.

playdate with Jax

We rarely get the chance to have a play date with Jax, so we were so excited to have him all to ourselves for a little while during the Tanner's last visit.

Jaxy, how do I love thee...? Let me count the ways. This kid is full of energy. Of course, most every 4 year old is, but this one has the energy of at least 5 other kids bottled up inside of him too. He is such a smartie, too. He loves animals...especially sharks and lions...and he knows all of the cool You Tube videos where you can find them. I am pretty sure he was born to follow in his father's footsteps and break some poor, unsuspecting soul's femur in his first high school football game. Not even because he wants to...just because he plays with such intensity. He is one rough and tumble kid that I would never want to mess with, but he turns into such a softie around the girls.

Sound familiar? That is why we call him Mikey, Jr. We sure love you Jax!

Valentine's Day: 1st Grade style

One of the major perks of being the Room Mother is that Kendall and I get to go to all of the class parties. Kendall loves every minute she is at the school...and Krissy and her friends are so great to include her. You will just have to notice how Krissy's box overshadows all the other ones. It was so cute to watch her be so proud of her box! Of course it was also fun to watch her not-so-secret admirer, Timothy, give her a rose and follow her around with longing eyes. I sure hope I can find a way to be the Room Mother every year until she graduates...

xoxo

Krissy's first grade class decided they wanted to have a Valentine box competition. Krissy came up with the vision and we decided we had better enlist Papa's help. My dad is THE project man. He doesn't do anything half-baked. It is always way over the top...which is just what we needed for our princess. He did all the hard work building this and we had the fun job of decorating it. Krissy won the Queen's Favorite award. Thank you Papa for all of your help. We sure love you and your amazing skills!

Kendall {hearts} Elle

Kendall's friend Elle invited her to a Valentine exchange party. Any party thrown by Elle's mom Michelle is fabulous! Kendall and Elle have been buddies since they were babies. We had such a blast! Thanks again Michelle and Elle.

do you want to come to my party?

Ken + Barbie
No boys allowed.

I'm thinking this is just about one of the cutest things EVER. I have a little artist, party planner, crafter on my hands...and I LOVE it!

Tanner time

We love every minute we spend with the Tanners when they come to town. This visit included a trip to the Bean Museum with Granny and Papa, followed by dinner at Brick Oven...two Tanner traditions.

birthday at blue lemon

(Our favorite dishes!)

For my Dad's birthday we went to Blue Lemon...one of my new favorite places to eat. Happy birthday to my Daddy who I love so much. If you haven't tried Blue Lemon, I highly recommend it. But please invite us to come too. :)

Disneyland

We were lucky enough to get to go to Disneyland with the entire Adams family (minus Cassi & John...we missed you!) So, we loaded up 5 vans and 1 car...and after a quick stop in Las Vegas, headed off for a much needed family vacation. We had such a great time making memories. The kids especially loved all the cousin time! We ate all kinds of good food, had lots of laughs and enjoyed the sunshine. This was the first vacation that every Adams brother had been on in 19 years. Definitely overdue. Now we just need to go again with Cassi and John ;) Even after 6 days at Disneyland we weren't ready to go home...I could have stayed another week and taken many more pictures! (Which might be hard to believe after you see how many are on this post!) I sure love being part of the Adams family...and I am so happy to be a part of it!

We celebrated several birthdays on our trip...one of which was my hubby's! We took a vacation from our vacation and went to the Cheesecake Factory.

Our Mickey Mouse Club. (Most, but not all of us!)
