Moyle Park
Some great friends invited us to go to Moyle Park in Alpine. It is only open on Tuesday mornings and it is run by the descendants of John Moyle...you may have heard his story. He walked from Alpine to SLC to work on the temple as a stone mason. His work continued even after he lost his leg. He carved himself a wooden leg and continued the 22 mile journey every week. He was the one who carved "Holiness to the Lord" on the East side of the temple. What an inspirational story!!
It was so fun to get a taste of pioneer life...making candles, hand-washing clothes on a wash board, tasting homemade butter, & playing pioneer games! If you have never been to Moyle Park I HIGHLY recommend a visit there this summer. We all had such a great time!
