Report card

Yesterday we went for Krissy's diabetes check-up. It was our first time to check her A1C, which is a measure of her blood sugar for the last 3 months. Since she has no control over this at this point, it is a reflection on me & Kyle and the care that we give to her. I spent the morning nervous worrying about it. Thankfully when we got the results back she was within the target range. I was so relieved. I know that there are things we can do to improve, but I was thrilled that we are well within the range of "healthy"!
After we finished at the doctor's office we headed over to the Hogle Zoo! This is a fun tradition that helps Krissy look forward to these doctor appointments. It was fun, but it got really hot, really fast! Hot day + stinky animals... How fun can that really be?

Yeah Krissy! We are so happy that things are going well. Hopefully things are getting better everyday. What a fun day to go to the zoo. You are brave to face the heat and animal smells!

I love the pictures of the girls together and you know how much I love it when you and Kyle pop up on the blog. Nicely done-I really wouldn't expect anything less, you are awesome!

I can tell it was hot by the girls' little red cheeks. Still looks like ya'll had fun. I want to go see that cool white alligator.

Way to go. You have all learned and grown a ton over the past 6 months. It must feel good that all your hard work is paying off.
