Two little girls were in heaven this afternoon...mixing and matching colors and dying the tips of their fingers all colors of the rainbow!

royal wedding week

It is crazy to me how much attention the royal wedding is getting here in the US. I totally get it in England since we were there shortly after Diana died. The outpouring of grief and sympathy was amazing. I'm sure I will tune in to get a peek at William and his cute Kate on their big day. I saw this party and thought that it looked like something right up Kristy's alley... and I'm always up for a party!

growing right up...

I seriously can't believe how fast these little girls are growing up. I love 'em so much! Last night when went put the girls in bed, Kendall was so excited to tell us about what she learned in church. She told us about "Even and Adams" and we thought it was just about the cutest thing we had ever heard! And then Krissy proceeded to rattle off some Articles of Faith she has memorized. It is so fun to watch them become their own little people. I am thankful for such sweet little ones!

Gavin & Kaylie

This week we ventured up to Kaysville to take pictures of these two darling twins, Gavin and Kaylie. These little cuties belong to my friend Melanie that I worked with at QK. (Lucky girl was in the Lamb of God choir that we went to the other night. It was AWESOME, btw ;)

They did so great while we did individual shots, but they weren't having the twin shots that I was so excited for. :) At least history was documented as it really happened...right? If you ask me, they are just plain cute, either way.

And, that's how you know when enough is enough. :)

We are so excited to get to see Lamb of God, tomorrow at the Tabernacle!

Cool thing is...Rob Gardner was our co-worker at QuicKutz. At that time I knew he had musical talent...but I had no idea he was this amazing. Good thing or we would have stalked his cubicle non-stop...none of us would have gotten anything done. This music is at the top of our iTunes playlist. I really love it, but Kyle is obsessed. You'd think he'd died and gone to heaven when I got our tickets. Click on the above link and watch Rob conduct the London Symphony Orchestra in their recording studio. He is pure genius in my book.

Sophie: 4 weeks

It is so hard to believe she is 4 weeks already! She sure has had an eventful life thus far...being born can't be easy, her momma had surgery to remove 2 body parts and she moved to a new house. And she has been quite the little trooper through all of it. Don't they look amazing?

Every Conference weekend I get to thinking about our emergency preparedness...I am not sure why...I guess it is just a habit that has formed. Lately I have been thinking a lot about water storage, so I wanted to share a tip. I have a bunch of water stored away in the big 5 gallon jugs and some in special water boxes too, but seriously, the thought of dumping it all out and putting new water in it just about does me in. I don't think I have the patience for that. And really, the thought of drinking water that has been sitting around for a year just doesn't sit very well with me either. So, once again, I have turned to Costco for the answer! :)

If you buy the 35 count, 16.9 oz. Kirkland bottled water it is under $4. (Sorry, can't quote the exact price.) The date on the bottles in 2 years out. I did the math and 1 package of those has nearly as much water in it as the 5 gallon jug holds. Much more appetizing in my opinion... So I will be saving the water I already have stashed away for emergency sanitation needs, which is also very important. In the meantime I will be using my Kirkland water on a regular basis and rotating everytime I go to Costco. Because really, who would even notice an extra $3 spent at that store. I just pick one up every time I go and it adds up fast!

Bouchon Bistro

Back in January we spent one night in Vegas with our good friends, Tom & Chanelle. Tom's brother Eric is the Sous Chef under Thomas Keller at the Bouchon Bistro inside of the Venetian. Wow. I had no idea what we were in for. We went for breakfast and were so excited to meet Eric...little did I know that he would spoil us with all kinds of goodness from the menu and with a tour of the kitchen! A real foodies dream come true. Had I known I would have taken my big camera, but I didn't, so the iPhone had to do.

I keep asking Tom for another chance at it though so I can take my real camera this time. :)

Seriously, this was some of the very best food I have eaten. Ever. And that is coming from a girl who has been to Paris 3 times. ;) What I wouldn't give to have another vanilla bean yogurt & berry parfait and apple croissant at this very moment.

We feel so lucky to have Tom & Chanelle in our lives. Their friendship has been a blessing to us in so many ways.

We love you Tom & Chanelle...we can't wait to do it again.
