my monkeys

The girls have been taking gymnastics for about 2 months now...and it is definitely one of the highlights of our week. They love it so much! You can see the determination on their faces. I am so proud of them for giving it their all.

Hair + Make-up

I am so proud. Both of my sister's worked on this wedding that was featured in Utah Bride magazine. Here are some photos by the incredible Pepper Nix to prove it!

Aren't they {I mean my sisters} so cute?

tulip festival

One of my favorite annual traditions is visiting Thanksgiving Point Gardens during the tulip festival. The "bloom-o-meter" estimated that the tulips were at 40% of their maximum bloom. That means at least one more trip there next week... It makes my heart happy.

trip to Meridian

This weekend we escaped for a much needed vacation to see my sister Hollie and her family. It was fun to explore their new town, watch the boys play football and baseball and just plain, old hang-out together! We had such a blast! Thank you Mike and Hollie...you spoiled us WAY too much!

xoxo.

sew mama sew

This is for my sister Hollie...the quilt-maker extraordinaire in our family! I sure would love a quilt made out of these fat-quarters...if you were wondering. ;) Find them here.

washi tape

I think these vases decorated with tape are fabulous. See the details on one of my favorite blogs...hostess with the mostess. I can think of about one million things to do with this cute tape...another item for the wish list.

wheat grass

Just found a link to this fun wheat grass tutorial from Michelle at The Creativity Room, who found it on Make and Takes. I was just talking to my baby sister about doing something like this for her wedding. Now I know what to do with that hard red winter wheat that I don't love to eat (I'll save my hard white wheat for bread)... There couldn't be anything more springy and fresh. Thanks M.

Yesterday we spent the afternoon playing and taking photos...experimenting with white balance and focus points. This slew of photos is for you Erik...we're sure missin' our daddies around here.
