Last week I spent the week at Girls Camp where we had such a great time. Our Stake gets to go to Heber Valley Camp and it really is an amazing place. As far as camping goes it really is like the "Marriott in the Mountains". I had such a great experience getting to know the girls and leaders in my ward better. The theme of our camp was "Seek and Ye Shall Find." I was in on it from a very interesting perspective. I was called to be the Stake Assistant Camp Director...Kyle's Aunt Cindy was the Stake Camp Director. A few months later I was called to be the Laurel advisor for our ward, so I got to see what goes into camp from all different angles. There really is so much work that goes into camp, but it all comes together to bless so many lives. All week I just kept thinking how fun it would be to be there with my daughters when they are young women. Not that they would want me there, but I would certainly love that opportunity... ;). The girls in our ward are amazing! It really was a privilege for me to be there, but I sure was happy to get home to my babies!
When it comes to photography there is nothing I love more than a chance to take pictures at a temple wedding. I got the chance to take these photos for a co-worker of Kyle's who's photographer bailed on her at the last minute. Can you imagine??? I was happy to step in to help this beautiful couple. This year for Krissy's birthday we decided to do two parties...one for her neighborhood and school friends and one with her cousins. This is the party we planned for her neighborhood and school girlfriends. We were so excited to have Gage join us at the last minute...a chance we don't get very often! Krissy was so excited to have him...and quick to remind him that he was "girl trapped". For years I have wanted to do a Paris party and this year Krissy wanted to too.
We had so much fun planning and playing! Up next...cousin party!
Krissy has been getting ready for her end of year dance concert. Last night they had team pictures and a dress rehearsal. She is so excited about this pretty little costume. We had a fabulous time getting her all dolled up. I look forward to putting mascara on Krissy every time I get the chance. Look at those beautiful eyes! I love you little lady...can't wait to see you strut your stuff on stage!!
I've been working on a BIG project. I took photos for Kendall's dance class...along with 2 other classes that Miss Mindee teaches. It was such a fun project and I feel like I learned a lot. Look at all this cute, pink fluffiness...I can hardly stand it! And I must say how much we love Miss Mindee! She is perfectly cut out for this job. We feel lucky to have found her.
